Two options for CrystaLac Tumbler Kits

(Mega Kit) contains all the basic products needed plus many extras to help you get you started painting and sealing your tumblers using safe, non toxic products that can all be used indoors as a great alternative to toxic Epoxy and other solvent based hazardous products. All products can be ordered individually as well.

(Mini Starter Kit) contains just the minimal basics in smaller sizes so you can get started on a minimal budget.

Tumbler Kit Products and Use

Bases

  Universal Primers – A great bonding Primer and Paint that can be used alone as a base color, or it can be tinted to any pastel to medium base color using any of the CraftNique Color Boutique Concentrated (liquid) Pigments. It can be used on Wood, Metal, Ceramic and Glass.

Flip’N Awesome- This is an awesome 3 in 1 Paint and Primer that works great for your base coat colors. 

Top-Coat

Grande' Finale is a very High Solids Waterbased Topcoat that is best used for layering a Super Clear, High Gloss, Durable, Protective Finish to your project. It can also be tinted using the Color Boutique Concentrated (liquid) Pigments to make tons of colors  

Mica Based Metallics

  Color Boutique Metallics are Highly Concentrated Mica Pigments incorporated into a liquid solution making them super easy to use without having to deal with airborne particles - unless you like them in your eyes, nose and skin. 6 super rich sparkly colors (Silver, Gold, Copper, Champagne, Pink Quartz & Rose) plus a beautiful color shifting mica. Works best by adding a little bit directly into Grande' Finale or Brite Tone. You can also use straight for intense color similar to gold leafing. Use approximately 1 tsp per pint. Adjust more or less to attain the desired appearance and effect. Top- Coat to protect.

CrystaLac Glitter Glue Adhesive - 

CrystaLac Glitter Glue Adhesive is perfect for adhering and sealing all your crafting projects. It is a Waterbased, Non-Yellowing, Clear, Permanent, Bonding Glue. It is safe to use and it contains No V.O.C's, its Non-Toxic and FDA Compliant. CrystaLac Glitter Glue Bonds to most surfaces including Glass, Plastic, Metal, Ceramic, Wood, Fabric, Paper and more. 

Surface Conditioner-

Surface Conditioner is a gentle, inter-coat cleaning agent that helps to remove any surface contaminants, fingerprints, sanding dust etc.,and promotes inter-coat bonding. Not for use on bare wood. Environmentally Safe and Non-Toxic. 

Properly prepping your tumbler is a critical step before using any paints or topcoats on it. Stainless tumblers have a factory waterproof coating on them that needs to be completely removed prior to painting. Plastic, glass and ceramic also need to be scuff sanded. We suggest a thorough sanding using 80 to 220 grit sandpaper to ruff up the surface and then wipe clean with Surface Conditioner or wash off with dawn dish soap to remove any traces of dust or fingerprints.

Apply CrystaLac products at room temperature minimum of (68 to 75 degrees) and allow 4 hours drying time between coats of paint and/or finish. Apply thin coats. Finishes will self-level as they dry. Do Not Use heat guns to force drying. Full cure is 30 days. You can gently use before that, but it will continue to harden over a 30 day period. Hand wash only with soap and water. Dry immediately and do not submit tumblers to extreme heat.
